We had a storming night for mixtape #2 – “when I was a kid”. We were blessed with cracking poetry from the inimitable Stephen James Smith and a classic Shel Silverstein tome by Erin Fornoff. Music on the night was wonderfully delivered by a variety of fantastic musicians. The witty and wise songs of The Guilty Folk, the warm and sophisticated songs of the mighty Pearse McGloughlin, the dulcid, magical tones of Sarah Williams and the wacky ukulele tunes of Captain Bringdown. In between there were some highly unsophistocated sparse plays written by Kalle when he was 11 years old, performed on the night by Kalle and Gus McDonagh. A storming night filled with incredible energy. Some great quality recordings of the performers listed above can be heard on the jukebox at our Facebook and Myspace pages. Give em a spin. See you next time!
